The Penarth Porthladd Trust

To begin to secure wide-based community support for our vision, we are undertaking a series of activities to both raise funds and begin to celebrate Penarth’s heritage.

Progress so far

• We have raised over £1200 so far and over 250 people attended our first Exhibition of photographs relating to Penarth’s Maritime History in the Kymin during the July 2007 Penarth Festival.



• During a second exhibition for the 2008 Penarth Holiday Festival, we invited a team of Geologists to examine findings from Penarth beach of rocks and fossils brought along by members of the public, which proved very popular with youngsters.



• !!!STOP PRESS!!! - Our recent "History Quiz" at "Cioni's Restaurant" on 26th February 2009 went very well and we raised over £100. Many thanks to all those involved.
